Youth Referee Training Class

Region 17 is hosting a Youth Referee Training Class for players and other youth volunteers aged twelve and above who would like to learn how to be a Referee and/or Assistant Referee for U10 and above games. Becoming a Referee is a great way to learn more about soccer and also allows your team to obtain Referee Points that count towards team standings and progression to the Playoffs. Upon successful completion of the Referee Course and successful registration, our Regional Referee Administrator will provide each newly minted referee with a uniform, whistle, and other items needed to successfully referee a game. The Region will also provide on-going mentoring and assistance to our new referees throughout the season.

Attendees must have registered as a volunteer for 2016 on eAYSO (www.eayso.org) and taken the on-line Safe Haven training (www.aysotraining.org) before attending class.

The class will be held on Saturday August 13 at 2915 Blaisdell Avenue, Redondo Beach CA 90278 and runs from 9am to 4pm. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided.Attendees must stay for the entire course. Comfortable attire recommended. For questions please email phil.crompton@gmail.com. Note that this is a youth-only class - if you are an adult who would like to learn to referee there will be plenty of opportunities before and during the early part of the Fall season.
